1. Paper presentation
• MAXIMUM OF TWO MEMBERS PER PAPER.
• EACH TEAM CAN PRESENT THEIR PAPER FOR 7MIN FOLLOWED BY 3MIN QUERY SESSION.
• THE ABSTRACT AND PAPER MUST BE SENT TO flutteraero@gmail.com
• PAPER MUST BE SENT ONLY IN IEEE FORMAT.
• LAST DAY FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPER IS 20TH JULY 2014.
• THE SOFT COPY MUST BE SENT EITHER IN .PDF , .DOCX , .DOC FORMAT.
• SELECTED PAPER WILL BE INTIMIDATED THROUGH MAIL BY JULY 22.
• SELECTED STUDENTS MUST BRING 2 HARD COPIES AND 1 SOFT COPY.
• JUDGE'S DECISION WILL BE FINAL
2. Parachute designing
• MAXIMUM OF TWO MEMBER CAN PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT.
• PRELIMS WILL BE CONDUCTED IN WRITTEN FORM.
• REQUIRED MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED.
• EGG WILL BE TIED WITH PARACHUTE.
• WINNER WILL BE BASED ON MAXIMUM TIME TAKEN TO REACH THE GROUND.
• BREAKAGE OF EGG WILL LEAD TO ELIMINATION
3. Glider
• Maximum of two members can participate.
• Use of Ready made gliders will lead to disqualification.
• The same glider must be used for all rounds.
• College will not provide any aid for finding the wind direction.
• Gliders that disintegrate mid-air will be disqualified.
GLIDER SPECIFICATIONS
• Wing span - Maximum 30 cm
• Glider must be made of Balsa Wood only
• Glider should not have any energy source for self propulsion
• Gliders will be tested based on Stability and Height, Distance & Time of flight
4. Paper plane
• A4 SHEET WILL BE GIVEN TO EACH AND EVERY PERSON.
• RANGE OF THE PAPER PLANE WILL BE NOTED.
• THE PERSON WITH MAXIMUM RANGE WILL BE ANNOUNCED AS WINNER.
5. Technical quiz
• MAXIMUM TWO MEMBERS PER TEAM.
• PRELIMS WILL BE CONDUCTED IN WRITTEN FORMAT.
• ONLY 4 TEAMS WILL BE SELECTED FOR FINALS.
• ANY TEAM FOUND INDULGED IN MALPRACTICE WILL BE ELIMINATED
6. Bridge building
• MAXIMUM OF TWO MEMBERS CAN PARTICIPATE.
• PRELIMS WILL BE CONDUCTED.
• REQUIRED MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED.
• BRIDGE WHICH CAN WITHSTAND MAXIMUM LOAD CAN BE ANNOUNCED AS WINNERS
7. CADD modelling
• Maxmimum of 2 members per team.
• This event consists of two rounds:
• First round - CAD Prelims
• Second round - Assembly or surface modeling in Pro E / CATIA.
• First round will be for 15 min and second round will be for 45 min.
• Judges' decision will be final.
8. Air crash investigation
• MAXIMUM OF TWO MEMBERS CAN PARTICIPATE.
• PRELIMS WILL BE CONDUCTED.
• VIDEO WILL BE PLAYED AND PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ASKED FOR POSSIBLE REASONS FOR THE CRASH OF AN AIRCRAFT.
• THE PERSON WITH MOST RELEVANT ANSWER WILL BE ANNOUNCED AS WINNERS.
9. Flight simulator
• ON SPOT INSTRUCTION WILL BE GIVEN
10. Project expo.
• PROJECT MODEL CAN BE BOUGHT AND EXPLAINED TO THE AUDIENCE.
• PARTICIPANTS WITH BEST PROJECT WILL BE ANNOUNCED AS WINNERS.
• JUDGES RESULT WILL BE FINAL.
