Nanodots:
An Israeli Startup StoreDot on 8th April 2014 developed a new smart phone battery called Nanodots. This battery can recharge a smart phone in just 30 seconds.
How Nanodots are Made:
The Nanodots batteries are made of naturally occurring crystals made of short chain of amino acids called peptides. These are two nano meters in diameter with significant chemical properties.
Properties of Nanodots:
- Nanodots are smaller in size, so they can help improve electrode capacitance and electrolyte performance.
- It can fully charege a dead battery of a smart phone in seconds rather than hours.
- There batteries are environment friendly and non-toxic as compared to other Nanodt and quantum-dot tecnologies that are hey metal based
- There batteries are very cheap to manufacture because nanodats are naturally abundant and it employs a basic biological mechanism of self-assembly
